Journey's End …… I hope!

This wee painting is a favourite of mine, that golden pinky glow of home when you turn that last corner after a long journey and see your front door and the lights of your street! Journey’s End ……, it doesn’t matter how lovely a trip was, that feeling of home is overwhelming. We are in the final throes of our move and hoping for that feeling of home in our new domicile ….. in Bavaria. 

All the house hunting, painting, tidying and packing will finally be over and at the end our new house door will be waiting; my pastels will be unpacked and ready for action …… and hopefully this will be the beginning of a new artistic journey (with hills! Our new home is surrounded by hilly vineyards!) and not Journey's End!
