Finishing the Water Lillies !!! What Next?

During the week I posted my work in progress and thank goodness I managed to finish it so that I can present it today! As I mentioned in my previous post, it is the first landscape on sanded card of this size. Part pleasure and part struggle (come on, you know this feeling well if you are an artist!) I am pleased with the end results. Yes, there are parts that still tempt me into changing them, but the remedy is cover the painting with protective paper and into the drawer! I once got a tip, which I always keep in mind; never tell people what part of a painting you are unhappy with!! I only have one of my paintings on my wall at home and many of my friends and visitors are surprised, it's because you have to look at your "mistakes" or the little areas that could have been dealt with better!

So, what now! I really don't know. I took a close up of an area from this painting, and really liked the look of it, I thought it was moving into abstraction and that would be new for me! However some more urban landscapes would be nice too! Decisions, decisions, the weather is nice so maybe some sketching........... !
