Reflecting on Spring
Soooooo, another painting finally finished, and although this started out as an experiment exploring "vibrancy", that is to say complementary colours working with one another, I'm afraid to say I didn't use as much green as I'd planned!
Reflecting on Spring
I decided to go for that light, springy feel; the rhododendrons are in full bloom, cherry and apple trees are in blossom and whatever those reddish purple trees are (not good at botany!) they are bursting out all over! My favourite part of the painting however is the ring of ripples caused by a leaf dropping into the pond.
Cycling all over the highways and byways here you really experience the changing seasons, which I love and you sometimes get to see some quaint sights! Like this for example
What a lovely idea! You can also see where the inspiration for my Spring palette comes from! I'm still promising myself to go completely "green", but I'm saving that for another day!
