Ooodles of Noodles and Doodles in Bologna

At the Easter weekend I was fortunate enough to head off for two days in Italy, it was a group thing with only cabin luggage, so time and art supplies where limited! Infact I only took a light sketchbook, a pencil, a mini ruler and a finepen in sepia.

This is the Piazza Maggiore with it's palazzi and porticoes, there are about 7km of them. Mooching through the shadowy porticoes, enjoying the sights of stunning leatherware and delicious delicacies was wonderful, but limited time means trying to decide what to see and how much time I can take to draw!

Mmmh! Doesn't that look yummy! Pasta of course is one of the specialities of Bologna and Mortadella! In the end it was my feet that decided it was time to sit down and sketch!

Although my foot does not belong to one of the famous sights it is there because after a delicious dinner in one of the very medieval sidestreets, I had to walk home carrying my shoes, which were killing me, but what with the temperature still at a balmy 23 degrees C it was a pleasure!
 The Dolce Vita indeed!
