My Bucket/Spoon List Part 1!

Actually managed to get myself together enough to finish my sketchbook page about my bucket (or in German spoon list) finished ...... this really didn’t have anything to do with Corona but rather with my birthday! One of my students asked me if I wouldn't be happy to pop off, because at my age (55) I must really be tired of living! 

So first page, 

The Aurora Borealis; the Northern lights! (Check out my post from 12 Feb, It could’ve been me!) they are definitely top on my list of priorities, I was so near but yet so far! A dream I've had for a long time is visiting the Chateaus of the Loire, I'm sure it would be thirsty work, so I'll enjoy a bottle or two of wine while I'm at it. 

Tuscany, oh Tuscany, you stole my heart, so I would love to return to spend a whole month (or two!) just painting and popping in to Florence which has alluded me on my other visits. These are the fortified walls of the town of Magliano where I've stayed a couple of times. 

Finally, but still in Italy, I would love to see the Shroud of Turin, a fascinating piece of cloth, historically, artistically and scientifically. 

I wrote my dissertation for the art history part of my art degree about the Shroud and was fascinated and still am. Painted, nope! The image is only on the top 1/10 of a single fibre ........ as for age, if it was ''faked'' in the Middle Ages, somebody had medical knowledge that widely surpasses that of their era ...... Leonardo da Vinci? Nope he was born at least 100 years too late! Fact or fake, whatever it is a real whodunnit!
