Bye, Bye Autumn

Out for a pre ''first of Advent'' mulled wine stroll, the trees are rapidly shedding their russet leaves and there is a nippy chill in the air, winter is on its way. Let’s say goodbye to Autumn with a peep into the archives!

Autumn's Spreading Canopy

I enjoyed playing with the reflections and the Autumnal hues contrasting with the zingy blues on the bark of the tree. This local stretch of water has been a source for so many paintings, the changing seasons are always so intense here; winter's icy branches, spring greens, summer blues and yellows and autumny oranges and reds. I've taken hundreds of photos here and still go back to sketch and paint. Here I was getting some more inspiration, over the last year ''edges and reflections'' have been fascinating me. Looking forward to seeing what 2021 brings artistically ....... 2020 however will not be missed. A little more certainty is what this afternoon is going to bring, a warming cup of mulled wine, cheers!
