Waving Goodbye!

Isn’t it lovely when the whole world is floundering  in a turbulent sea, that something good turns up to boost moral! Time to wave goodbye to ''Dancing for Joy”!

A lovely collector of my work asked me if I had a wee painting of the North Sea for beside her bed, due to the travel restrictions this year she hadn’t made it home and was missing the waves. Funnily enough, I'd framed this up for the same reason, missing waves! It’s a pity that you can’t capture the smell of the salty air in a painting but the movement and atmosphere are all there. 

I hope that waking up to this painting helps against her homesickness and hope that maybe next year will see us all paddling safely in the waves of home!
