Watch Those Blossoms Dance!

This has been a long time coming but here it is ….. Watch those blossoms dance!

Watch Those Blossoms Dance!

This one has a little bit of  the Watteaus about it, light frivolous and Rococo-y! All those lovely soft spring hues and twisted branches; Spring you have definitely sprung!
Such beauty so quickly come and gone however it is so breathtaking to watch the transformation from twisted brown dark branches, empty of leaves and the practically overnight everything is bursting with lush green leaves and pastel coloured blossom, lovely.
Who wouldn’t be inspired by this.

I think this looks like it may make it on to the easel as a painting, oooohhhh all those greens though! Good that I've conquered my Prasinophobia …….. fear of green, believe that is a phobia shared by many artists, and it is a problem.
Green as lovely as it can be has some pretty naff and cheap looking hues; Hooker's green for example it tends to be overwhelming, I think the trick is, to use it sparingly and to mix in flecks of other hues. If you think about it, it’s logical light reflects off its surroundings therefore you get flickers of blue, yellows, pinks and it always helps if you scrunch up your eyes and try to see what other colours you can see amidst the green.
Here’s a wee close up of part of my painting and believe me there is everything in there including the kitchen sink!
