Drawing to a Close!

I've been off on a bit of an adventure this week but more about that on Wednesday!

Summer and the grape harvest is drawing to a close but that offers a better chance of looking at the vines on the hillsides.
This drawing ( 55cm x 65cm) is another pencil and graphite drawing of vines, it reminds me of Thor's Hammer Mjölnir and yet again the textures of the vine remind me of sinews and veins and hard work.
It will be interesting to see how the wine harvest turns out with our summer lacking in rain. Drought stresses vines and results in fewer grapes on the other hand endless sunshine helps to increase the amount of sugar in the grapes! Well, I guess we will have to wait and see how the Franken wines from 2022 are, at least I can have fun trying them. I must say on some of my hikes I did try some of the red grapes and they were large and very juicy, the promise of summer in a glass! Cheers
