Aqueous Ephemera

First things first, ''Happy St Patrick’s Day'', my Dad was such a proud Irishman that on St Patrick’s Day he put on green from top to toe, yes even down to his underwear! Here we are though more in the realm of blues!

Aqueous Ephemera

Titles are always a problem but this one came quickly, the reflections on water are there for a second and then gone, never the same twice; the dried grasses too on the bank, soon (I hope) Spring will take over and the leached, dried grasses will disappear to be replaced by the fresh new greens of Spring. Without wanting to get too corny, the never ending circle of life (if you are waiting for Simba to appear, it’s not going to happen!) is definitely a theme in my work and never fails to suck me in. Birth, growth, bloom and death only to be reborn once again. Nature really is like the phoenix, once more rising from the ashes of its own funeral pyre.
St Patrick’s Day is fascinatingly celebrated all over the world, even here in Germany with a huge celebration in Munich, so enjoy your Guinness wherever you are ''Slainte!''

May there always be work for your hands to do.
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine upon your window pane.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near to you and
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
 An old Celtic blessing!
